  • Cube tool
To create a Perspective Cube, create a front, side or top face and release the mouse, immediately dragging toward the vanishing point without clicking to preview the cube's depth. When the desired depth is reached, click the mouse once to complete the cube. Remember to finish creating the cube depth before deleting or choosing another tool. Cube artwork is like other Illustrator artwork and can be easily edited.

Note: If you have checked Live artwork in the Perspective Document palette, do not make any changes to the shape without first Expanding the artwork with the Expand button in the Perspective Objects palette. Also avoid moving the cube to the opposite side of the horizon where live top/bottom faces will reproject incorrectly.

To numerically create a cube, single-click on the document. The cube's home point (the central point visually closest to the viewer) will be placed at the click point.
    Cylinder tool
To create a Perspective Cylinder numerically, click once on the document. The cylinder face's center point will be placed at your click point.

To create a cylinder, draw a front, side or top face and release the mouse, immediately dragging toward the vanishing point without clicking to preview the cylinder's depth. When the desired depth is reached, click the mouse once to complete the cylinder. Cylinder artwork is like other Illustrator artwork and can be easily edited. Remember to finish creating the cylinder depth before deleting or choosing another tool.
