CADtools isometric dimensioning tools work just like the 2D dimensioning tools. They can also be pulled out perpendicular to the object for enhanced readability and dimensionality. Like other dimensions, isometric dimensions are linked to their objects if 'Create live dimensions' is checked in the CADdocument palette.

Horizontal Isometric Dimension (by Line)
To try this tool, first create an isometric object. Choose the Horizontal Isometric Dimension (by Line) tool - the first tool in the Isometric dimensioning tool group. Click on one of the horizontal lines (at isometric angles) and drag to create a dimension. To create the dimension on a plane perpendicular to the object, hold down the control key while dragging.

The Horizontal Isometric Dimension (by Points) tool and the Horizontal Isometric Datum Dimension tools work the same as their 2D counterparts - in isometric format.

The vertical isometric dimension tools work like the horizontal dimension tools - on vertical lines in isometric view. Similarly, hold down the control key to create the dimension on a perpendicular plane.
