CADtools isometric drawing tools work in scale just like the 2D CAD drawing tools. They snap to CADgrids and support numeric input for precision control of artwork. True measurements of isometric shapes are also displayed in the CADtracker palette for reference or transformation. For best results, set up your isometric or axonometric view angles before creating a complex isometric illustration.
Isometric rectangle
Like other tool groups, the isometric drawing tools can be pulled out for easy access. Click on the triangle at the end of the tool group to tear off the isometric tool bar.

To create an isometric rectangle, select the first isometric drawing tool - the isometric rectangle tool. To numerically create the rectangle, click once on the document.
To draw a front face rectangle, click and drag to the opposite edge.
To create a side face, hold down the command/control key after you begin dragging. To create a top or bottom face, hold down the alt/option key after you begin dragging. (Bottom faces can only be created if your isometric view is rotated so that the bottom view is showing.) Hold down the shift key to create a square in isometric view. The cube icon in the CADisometric palette indicates which face you are drawing.

Isometric ellipses work in the same manner. When drawing ellipses, the cursor will be located at the corner of the bounding box of the ellipse - not at the edge of the ellipse itself.
