CAD Line
The CAD Line tool is an essential add-on to Illustrator, since there is no simple Illustrator line tool. With the CAD line tool, you can see the line while you are creating it. As with other CADtools drawing tools, the cursor will change near an endpoint to confirm precision. To continue a path, simply click on the endpoint and drag. You can also numerically create lines in scale by clicking once on the document.

To create isometric lines, hold down the Shift and Alt/Option keys to constrain the lines to the existing isometric settings.

CAD Wall
The Add Wall tool works like the CAD Line tool, creating walls as you drag. The wall thickness is defined in the CADwall palette. Click and drag, using the cursor or grid if you need precise placement. To numerically create a wall, click once with the CAD Wall tool. If you click on the end or the face of an existing wall, the new wall will connect to it. The Wall Move tool allows you to precisely move walls to resize rooms. The Remove Wall tool allows one-click deletion of walls.
